Dr. Olukoya Ogen teaches in the Department of History at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. He holds a Ph.D in History from the University of Lagos, Nigeria and specialises in socio-economic history. He also earned a certificate in Trade, Growth and Poverty from the World Bank Institute, Washington D.C. Apart from being a member of the Oxfam Supporter Panel, an international development and poverty-relief organisation, he is also a consultant to a number of NGOs dealing with Nigeria’s socioeconomic development. Dr. Ogen is a prolific scholar who has authored over twenty-five academic papers within the last six years. As we as being a member of Nebula’s editorial board, Dr Ogen is also an editor for AAU: African Studies Review and AMU: Akungba Journal of the Humanities.
